NOTICE is hereby given that the Madison Economic Development Authority, Mississippi, will receive written sealed bids until the hour of 3:00 pm local time on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at the office of the Madison Economic Development Authority located at 135 Mississippi Parkway, Canton, Mississippi 39046 for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and for performing all activities specified in the Contract Documents, for the construction of the 24" Treated Wastewater Force Main Improvements – Segment B.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 am local time, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the office of the Madison Economic Development Authority.

The project includes the installation of approximately 20,000 feet of 24" force main and appurtenances. The Contract Time will be Two Hundred Seventy (270) consecutive calendar days, and the liquidated damages will be $500 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.

Plans, contract documents and proposal forms are on file for public inspection in the office of the Madison Economic Development Authority, 135 Mississippi Parkway, Canton, Mississippi 39046, and in the office of the Engineer, WGK, Inc., 204 W. Leake Street, Clinton, MS 39056. All documents required for bidding purposes, including specifications and plans, may be viewed for free at www.wgkengineersprojects.com. Documents may be downloaded for a non-refundable charge of $75. Hard Copies are also available for ordering online for a non-refundable fee. Bids for this work will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom the Contract Documents and Addenda, if any, have been issued by the Engineer. Bids received by bidders to whom the Contract Documents were not issued by the Engineer will be returned unopened.

State law requires a non-resident bidder to attach/include a copy of his resident state’s current law pertaining to such state’s treatment of non-resident contractors with their bid. Any bid submitted by a non-resident contractor which does not include the non-resident contractor’s current state law shall be rejected and not considered for award.

All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the hour of 3:00 pm local time on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at the office of the Madison Economic Development Authority located at 135 Mississippi Parkway, Canton, Mississippi 39046. Bids will be considered by the Madison Economic Development Authority at or before the next regular meeting thereof to be held within thirty (30) days of the date of receipt of bids.

The Madison Economic Development Authority reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in the bidding and to reject any and all bids.
